About

Dominik Tarabański is a Polish-born artist and photographer based in New York City. He holds a degree in Photography from the Department of Cinematography at the Polish National Film School in Łódź and a degree from the Academy of Photography in Warsaw.

His work explores the tension between impermanence and control, often blending sculptural elements with photographic composition. His recent project, Roses for Mother, has been exhibited at the 6x7 Gallery in Warsaw, where he is also represented in Poland; the gallery at the National Philharmonic Hall in Szczecin; and the Zitadelle Spandau Centre for Contemporary Art in Berlin. Tarabański’s images are part of private collections in New York, Paris, Berlin, Hong Kong, London, Brussels, Arles, Warsaw, and Tokyo.

He has given talks at institutions, including the Polish National Film School in Łódź and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and has taught at the Academy of Photography in Kraków. He also welcomes private studio visits at his atelier in Brooklyn.

In parallel to his fine art practice, Tarabański is the creative director of Gentle Storm, a Parisian jewelry project through which he explores ideas of emotional clarity, design culture, and material storytelling.
